The SIA Board would like to extend our gratitude to Marie Welch for her dedicated and tireless service to our SkyWest Flight Attendants and the SIA Board for the past 16 years!

During her time in SIA, Marie has served as SIA President, Co-Secretary, ASAP Primary Representative as well as numerous other positions. She has dedicated countless hours towards supporting, and improving the quality of life for the SkyWest Flight Attendants. Through her leadership, we have seen enhancements to Compensation, Parking, Bereavement, Fatigue and Hotel policies, just to name a few.

As President, she has shown strong leadership as we have worked through a global pandemic. Her focus has always been to better the lives of the Flight Attendants as she has tirelessly fought to secure the best work rules possible for our group.

Marie’s fun and open spirit will be greatly missed by all of us who have been fortunate to work with her!

We wish you well as you move on to the next adventure and thank you for all that you have sacrificed for all of us.
