If you have any questions, please ‘Talk to SIA’ at www.oursia.org or 855.2.OURSIA.
Thank you,
Your SIA Team
1) NEW Passport Renewal Policy
SIA is pleased to announce an upgraded passport renewal policy that is now effective. This new policy outlines the process by which a Flight Attendant may renew his/her passport. Improvements include protection from corrective action/occurrences and in some cases the Company will provide an in-domicile hotel if a Flight Attendant is reassigned while a passport is away being processed for renewal. All conditions are spelled out in the policy. This is a fantastic benefit to our Flight Attendants and a significant improvement to our contract.
2) Revision 06 of the Flight Attendant Policy Manual – Now Effective
Along with the passport renewal policy, your SIA Board has continued to make improvements to our contract and in just six short months, we are ready to roll out the next revision. Revision 06 of the Flight Attendant Policy Manual has now been posted on SkyWest Online and includes all policy updates that have been communicated to you in the ‘Our SIA Connection’ newsletter over the past six months. These changes vary from clarifying terms, adding missing procedural verbiage, policy application and enhancing existing policy such as the Passport Policy above. For a complete list of Temporary Revisions and policy changes included in Revision 06, please refer to the attached PDF.
