Pilots are getting up to 300% to help out with flying. I know sia negotiated up to 200% under an moa. Is that expired? If it isn’t, can you send something out to our fa’s so that they know what they can negotiate for? Trips in red needing to be covered for the company due to irops. Let’s do everything possible to make sure our fa’s get paid properly!

    Hello Stephanie,

We don’t have any active MOAs regarding incentivized flying, so you may be talking about an expired MOA from last year (or previous to that). We recently went to the Company asking for increased incentives to match the pilot incentives. The Company denied our request citing the fact that we have a nearly 50% reserve compliment systemwide, whereas the pilots are between 8 – 12%. Since they are so lean on reserves, the pilots are not able to manipulate their schedules as much as the Flight Attendants are (there were over 2000 successful transactions between Nov. 23 – 25th), so they are less likely to pick up trips due to already having flying full schedules. That is why their incentive is so high. Every month we approach the Company with ways to increase compensation and will continue to request this as well.

    Thank you for your engagement,

    Erika
