Automated “Absence Call”

Automated “Absence Call”

December 7, 2019 Posted by Wayne SIA News No Comments

Another change that we are excited about is the automated “Absence Call” feature that has been approved for SkedPlus+. This also includes an enhancement to the Flight Attendant Policy Manual FAPM). When a Flight Attendant is ill, they will have the choice to personally notify Crew Support via phone or by using the new SkedPlus+ automation feature. Due to automation limitations, this feature will only be available to regular line holders. Please refer to the procedures as outlined in the SkedPlus+ User Guide.

SIA and the Company are hopeful this will help eliminate the hold time that occurs when trying to contact Crew Support during high call volume and IROP situations.
